Helen M. Waters, age 93, of Fort Wayne passed away August 20, 2023 and went home to her Heavenly Father.  She was born September 16, 1929 at home in Eel River Township and was the 7th child to the late Merle and Gertrude (Gause) Gump.  She married Wayne Waters on November 18, 1950.   Helen was a member of Beacon Heights Church of the Brethren for 65 years and more recently a member of Covenant United Methodist Church.   She was also a 50 year member of PEO - Chapter BD and was employed at Lincoln Life and GMAC.  In Helen's early years, she enjoyed sewing, quilting, baking and entertaining her family and friends.  She was an avid walker, reader, bird watcher and an active volunteer.   Helen is survived by her sons, Bradley (Kathy) Waters, and Jeffry Waters;  daughter, Ann (David Faulkner) Waters;  3 grandchildren; Michael (Catherine) Waters, Molly Waters and Vivienne Faulkner; 8 great-grandchildren; and her dog, Coco.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Wayne Waters.  Service is 10:00 am, Friday, August 25, 2023 at Covenant United Methodist Church, 10001 Coldwater Rd., with calling one hour prior.  Calling also 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm on Thursday, August 24, 2023 at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N.
