Harold Raeburn Lowder, 90, passed away February 16, 2025 in  Fort Wayne, IN.  He was born on October 8, 1934 in Knott County, Kentucky to the the late Barton and Radya Lowder.  At 6 years old, his family moved to Redding, OH where he attended school through 8th grade, before moving back to Kentucky where he graduated high school.  Later, Harold moved to Kendalleville, IN, attended college, and worked as an accountant.  It was then, he felt the calling to join the U.S. Army, proudly serving in Germany.  When Harold returned, he learned all he could about computers and became a computer programmer working for Lyle Electric, Joslin Steel, and Magnavox.  He was an avid bowler and enjoyed competeing in tournaments.  When he retired, he joined the Senior Men's Golf Association, took a geneology class and found many of his relatives.  Harold contributed in making an index of many pictures and stories for the Sylresville Geneology Center in Kentucky.  Harold is survived by his wife, Margaret (Veenstra) Lowder;  sisters-in-law, Sue Lowder, Valerie Lowder, and Irma Huster;  nephew, Kevin (Tonya) Lowder;  nieces, Cathy Lowder, Lisa (David) Wolff, Sherry (Jeff) Lowder, Ashley (Garrett) Musick, and Rachel Huster; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.  Harold was preceded in death by his brothers, Thurman Lowder and Elmer Lowder; and nephews, Tim Lowder and Terry Lowder.  Service is 12:00 pm, Monday, February 24, 2025 at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N.
