Gloria D. Gerbers, 101, of Woodburn, went home to the Lord on Saturday, August 29, 2026. Born in Woodburn, she was the daughter of the late Clarence “Ed” and Lillie Miller. She was a member of Woodburn United Methodist Church. Gloria spent most of her life as a homemaker. She also worked at GE from 1943-1948, in-home childcare for 17 years, and Woodlan High School in the cafeteria from 1975-1978.

Gloria is survived by her children, Debbra (Michael) Henry of New Haven, Jennifer Followell of Garrett, Michael (Linda) Gerbers of Fort Wayne, and Sara (David) Roehling of Harlan; grandchildren, Jeremy (April) Henry, Joshua (Christina) Henry, Jenette Henry, Chad Followell, Melissa (Joe Cerimele) Bender, Adam (Crystal) Bender, Christian (Mally Vergara) Bender, Jordan (Megan) Allen, and Geoffrey (Kari) Gerbers; 24 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Arnold J. Gerbers; son-in-law, Charles Followell; and her siblings.

Funeral service will be on Thursday, September 3, 2026 at Woodburn United Methodist Church (4300 Becker Road, Woodburn, IN) at 11:00 am with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be at the church on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Burial will follow the service at Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Woodburn United Methodist Church or Parkview Hospice.
