George C. Lay, age 54, of Fort Wayne passed away Saturday, March 5, 2022. He was born in Watseka, IL to the late Rita Creech and Harold Lay. George worked as concrete truck driver with Irving Materials, Inc. and also owned his own business with his son, Live the Night Entertainment. He proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army. George was a talented musician and enjoyed bicycling and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 7 years, Kimberly Lay of Fort Wayne; son, Brett Lay of Fort Wayne; granddaughter, Quinn; step-children, Caitlyn Lawson and Max Lawson both of Fort Wayne; siblings, Scott (Carmen) Smith, Laura (Michael) McFarland, Richelle (Rick) Good, and Tara (Todd) Hullinger; and many nieces and nephews. George was also preceded in death by his sister, Abby Lay. Service is 3:00 pm, Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N.
