Obituary

George C. Gardner, 78, passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2025. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, George was the son of the late William and Kathryn Gardner. George graduated from Snider High School. He worked for North Eastern Construction Company for several years, prior to him and his wife Mary Kay founding Gardners Tool Supply. Together they owned and operated their business for 40 years. George absolutely loved selling tools, being social to clients and making friends. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his dog. Surviving are his daughter, Katrina (Michael) Evans and grandchildren, Jacob and Eli Evans. George was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Kay Gardner in 1999 and his step-mother, Sophie Gardner. Service is 1 pm, Friday, April 25, 2025 at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton Street, with calling one hour prior. Burial in Concordia Cemetery Gardens. Memorials may be made to Humane Fort Wayne or Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control.
