Gary Lee Shank, 80, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Monday, May 25, 2026. He was born to the late Olan and Helen (Muzzillo) Shank in Fort Wayne on April 5, 1946. He graduated from South Side High School and proudly served in the Air Force as a Sergeant. Gary had an eclectic career and worked for the Plant Center for several years. He was a passionate photographer and loved hiking and bowling.

Gary is survived by his loving wife, Becki; children, Tim (Sara) Shank, Ashley Beal Byant and John Scott; grandchildren, Devon Frankovich and Quinn Shank; nephew, J. Guy Haines; nieces, Lauren Alcala and Sarah Beal; special friend, Steve Buckles; beloved dogs, Quigley and Levi; and a host of relatives and friends. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jeremy Shank.

Upon Gary’s wishes there will be no services.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Humane Fort Wayne.
