Gary Ray Jones, 71, of Fort Wayne, devoted father, husband of the late Debra, brother, and
“Uncle O” to all his nieces and nephews, passed away September 28, 2026. A gentle, tender-
hearted soul, he was born November 4, 1954, in Huntington to Lynn and Carolyn “Sue” Jones.
Gary retired from the City of Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation Department in February 2025. He loved NASCAR and his dogs.
He is survived by his sons, Tim, Brad, and Chad Jones; his sister, Kay (Jones) Jimenez; his
brother, Mark Jones; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his
wife, Debra; his brother, David; and his parents.
