Gary L. Bryie, 83, passed away on July 23, 2026, in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Born in Auburn, Indiana, Gary was the son of the late Victor and Frieda (Bransteter) Bryie.

Gary owned and operated Bryie Shell and Bryie Marathon Service Stations in Fort Wayne for many years. He remained active throughout his life and enjoyed playing softball, bowling,

and golf. A devoted sports fan, Gary especially loved cheering on the Chicago Cubs, Indianapolis Colts, and Indiana Hoosiers.

Gary is survived by his daughter, Michelle (Donnie) Beard; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Cheryl (Denny) Shuler and James Bryie.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, JoAnn Bryie; his son, Steven Bryie; and his parents.

A private family gathering will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Humane Fort Wayne.
