Gail Maslyar, 78, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on November 2, 2026. She was born on November 2, 1948, in Plymouth, Indiana, to George and Phyllis (Hoffman) Maslyar. The family moved to Madison, Indiana, where she graduated from MCHS in 1967. She then attended Ball State University, earning degrees in education. Her 36-year teaching career included positions in Richmond, Indiana, the Netherlands, and Germany. Her interests included travel to all 50 states and 27 countries on three continents.

She is survived by two sons. Michael Flory and his wife, Diana, and their two daughters, Emma and Sofia. Chris Flory and his wife, Ann Huang, have three children: Acadia, Kala, and Silvan. Also living are her brother George Maslyar and her niece Constance. She is also survived by several cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Gail will have a visitation service at Fairhaven Funeral Home in Fort Wayne, Indiana, from 4:00-7:00 pm on Friday, November 6. We look forward to sharing fond memories and photos with you as we celebrate her life.
