Gail Marie Ernst, age 70, passed away Saturday, January 8, 2022 in Fort Wayne. She was born in Fort Wayne, to the late Hubert and Dorothy Lochner.

Gail graduated from South Side High School in 1969. She then received a bachelor's degree in education and taught P.E. and Math at Fort Wayne Community Schools. She most enjoyed staying home and raising her two daughters. She was an active member in her church and enjoyed serving in the nursery and MOPS program. She loved to travel with her family and enjoyed new adventures. Gail was a generous host and an available servant who touched many lives.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Barry Ernst; daughters, Sarah (Tommy) Strine and Lisa (Luke) Johnson; three grandchildren, Caleb, Joshua, and Abigail; and sister, Rev. Rita Kay (John) Lochner Scruton-Wilson.

Service is 4:00 pm, Saturday, January 15, 2022 at First Missionary Church, 701 W. Rudisill Blvd., with calling one hour prior.
