Obituary
Frederick Whelchel, 87, of Fort Wayne, IN passed away October 28, 2016. Frederick was born May 14, 1929 to Ted and Gladys Whelchel.
Frederick graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor's degree. He served in the United States Navy Reserve. Frederick retired from General Electric. He was a long time member of Pine Valley Country Club and a member of the Masonic Lodge in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
He is survived by his sons, Randy Whelchel, Mike Welchel and Rob (Denise) Frede; Daughters, Merrilee (Alan) Carruthers, Richadonna Bylis and Diane Sagstetter..
He was preceded in death by this parents, Ted and Gladys Whelchel; his wife, Anne Whelchel and one sister Peggy Miller.
A funeral service will be Wednesday November 2, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at FairHaven Funeral Home at 6557 N. Clinton Street, Fort Wayne, IN. Calling hours will be Wednesday November 2, 2016 from 11 a.m.-1: p.m.
