Frederick "Fred" Matthew Habegger, 43, of New Haven, passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2023. He was born to Frederick Max Habegger and the late Ella Christina (Dishong) Habegger in Fort Wayne, IN on May 11, 1979. He graduated from New Haven High School in 1997 and from Purdue University in 2002. While in college during summer break he worked at B.F. Goodrich Tires as a ban bury operator. Fred worked for the American Red Cross for 18 years as Head of Pheresis. He was an avid Los Angeles Dodgers and Purdue Boilermakers fan. Fred loved history and enjoyed golfing and video games.

Fred is survived by his father and step-mother, Frederick and Emma Habegger of Fort Wayne; sister, Tammy (William) Habegger Spice of Indianapolis; and a host of cousins and close friends.

Funeral service is on Friday, February 17, 2023 at 11:00 am at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services (6557 N. Clinton Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46825) with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at the funeral home from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
