Francis Eugene Byanskie, 95, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Wednesday August 23rd, 2023 at 3:22 pm, at The Waters of Fort Wayne.
Gene worked at the People's Dairy for many years before beginning a 2nd career and eventually retiring from Kresge Warehouse. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed golf and bowling, but most importantly, he loved his family and especially his grandchildren.
Gene is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Donna Byanskie; son, Robert Byanskie; daughter Bonnie (Kurt) Chelius; grandchildren, Holly, Brian, Mandy, Courtney, and Tiffany; and nine great-grandchildren.
Gene was preceded in death by his sister, Joan Burchard.
A visitation will be held for Gene on Sunday August 27th, 2023 from 1 pm until 5 pm at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton St. Preferred memorials may be directed to Cancer Services of North East Indiana or donor's choice.
