Frances Mae Shuff, 91, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Frances was born in White County, Indiana and spent much of her lifetime in Huntington County until moving to Allen County in later years. She was a member of St. Peter's First Community Church of Huntington. On August 24, 1947, Frances married Charles Wayne Shuff and they then dedicated their lives to their six children and six grandchildren. Surviving are daughters; Connie Tahtinen of Macon, GA, Brett (James Roberson) Shuff of Fort Wayne, Beth Singer of Indianapolis; son, Kent (Steve Fennimore) Shuff of Muncie; grandchildren, Todd Tahtinen of Macon, GA, Heather Tahtinen of Petaluma, CA, Lauren Roberson of Louisville, KY, Adrienne (Jerad) Lambert of Fort Wayne, Gunnar Tahtinen III of Atlanta, GA, Alexis Arden Tahtinen of Los Angeles, CA; great-granddaughter, Madison Tahtinen of Atlanta, GA; son-in-law, Philip Wiley of Huntington; special family daughter, Maureen DeLassus of Fort Wayne; special family friend, Amy Saxton of Indianapolis; and caregivers Staci Ohlwine, Kim Dager, and Becky Metz. Frances was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 66 years, Wayne; parents, Stephen Yates and Vera Fry Yates; son, Arden Shuff; and daughter, Kelly Wiley. Service is 6 pm, Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton Street with calling from 4 pm until the service with the Rev. Adam Jones officiating. Private interment will be held at Garden's of Memory in Marion on March 23, 2022. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the donor's choice or the Alzheimer's Association of Indiana.
