Felipe Ortiz-Rios, 70, went to eternity on October 11, 2026, at home in peace with his family. He was born in Mexico City, Mexico to Elpidio Ortiz and Esther Rios. He was later adopted by Margarito Contreras and Eva Prado.
Felipe was a hard worker and very friendly. He loved to serve at Avallon Missionary Church. He enjoyed playing with his grandchildren and spend time watching sports with his family and friends. He enjoyed playing dominos with his church friends.
Felipe is survived by his wife, Carmen Ortiz, children, Alex (Lucy) Ortiz, Mari Carmen (Adam) Matlock; grandchildren, Axel Ortiz, Hannah Ortiz, Ezra Matlock, Ian Ortiz, Atia Matlock, and Xander Matlock; eight siblings; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and five siblings.
A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at 4 pm, located at Avalon Missionary Church with calling from 2 pm until the service.
Memorial donations may be given to Iglesia Avalon.
