Fay E. McCallister, age 96, passed away Monday, January 8, 2024 in Fort Wayne. Born January 3, 1928 in Fort Wayne to the late Frederick and Nettie (Rose) Holmes, she graduated from Central High School where she was a member of the National Honor Society. Fay was a past member of First Presbyterian Church and she enjoyed traveling with her late husband to historic sites around the United States. She will always be remembered for being an excellent cook. She is survived by her sons, Matt (Linda) McCallister and Mike (Paula) McCallister; grandchildren, Lauren (Eric), Daniel (Aubrey), and Colin McCallister; great granddaughter, Sophia. Fay was preceded in death by her husband Joseph McCallister and 10 siblings. Service is 11:00 am, Thursday, January 18, 2024, at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 North Clinton Street, with calling one hour prior. Burial is at Huntertown Cemetery.
