Evelyn Brown, 92, of Fort Wayne, Ind. Passed away on Monday January 22, 2024 at her home. Evelyn was a hard worker and retired from GE after 33 years of service. Evelyn was one special lady and was loved by so many. She touched so many hearts in a very big and special way. She was admired and cherished by all who knew her. Evelyn loved flowers, quilts, gospel music, shopping, sweets and Diet Pepsi. She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother whom her family loved dearly.
Evelyn is survived by her children, Joanne Hoskins, Carol (Dan) Yeoman, Sharon (Dave) Glant; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 15 great great-grandchildren; brother Warren Howard.
She was preceded in death by daughter, Patsy Griffith; son Charles Cornett; infant daughter Roberta Cornett; son in law Leland Hoskins.
Funeral service will take place on Friday January 26, 2024 at 1:00pm with visitation beginning 3 hours prior at 10:00am at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton St. Burial will take place in IOOF Cemetery in New Haven. Preferred memorials may be directed to Stillwater Hospice.
