Obituary

Ethel Mae Swinehart, 75, passed away on Monday, October 6, 2025, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Born in Birmingham, Alabama, Ethel was the daughter of the late Jack Harold and Lillian "Winnie" Luther. Ethel was known for her meticulous organization and strong work ethic, which she poured into everything she did.

On September 14, 2000, Ethel married the love of her life, Raymond Swinehart, and together they created countless meaningful memories. A convert to Catholicism, she was a devoted member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

Ethel enjoyed reading, shopping, and expressing her creativity through diamond painting. Each October, she and Ray looked forward to their annual trip to Mackinac Island, where they cherished the beauty and peace of the surroundings.

Surviving are her husband, Raymond Swinehart; sons, Justin (Jessica) Darling and Jason (Cheryl) Darling; granddaughters, Justice and Joslin Darling; and sister, Karen (Mike) Beland.

A Mass of Christian Resurrection will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 16, 2025, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1502 E. Wallen Road, with calling one hour prior.
