Obituary
Erin Christine Bertsch Schlabach, 39, of Fort Wayne, entered into her Heavenly home on Tuesday, August 19, 2025. She was born to Todd and Robin (Caywood) Bertsch in Fort Wayne on January 24, 1986. Erin graduated from Leo High School and Ivy Tech Community College with a degree in baking and pastry arts. She worked in medical billing. Erin adored her two cats, Midna and Lennon. She had an extraordinary talent in crocheting and creative writing. Erin loved playing board games and online games with her friends.
Erin is survived by her parents, Todd and Robin Bertsch; brother, Joshua Bertsch; grandmother, Joyce Bertsch; uncles, Doug (Grace) Bertsch and Matthew (Marci) Bertsch; cousins, Laura (Todd) Widdifield and Daniel Bertsch; and many beloved friends. She was preceded in death by her Nanny, Grace Bench and grandfather, Richard Bertsch.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Humane Fort Wayne.
