Obituary

Eric Junior Lindquist, age 74, passed away on September 6, 2026, in Fort Wayne, IN. He was born in Fort Wayne to the late Eric and Dorothy Lindquist.

Eric spent 36 years in maintenance with Fort Wayne Community Schools. A licensed plumber, electrician, and HVAC technician, he was also a welder and mechanic, truly able to fix anything. After retiring, Eric continued working for seven years at Steel Dynamics in Butler, Indiana.

He was a lifetime member of the NRA, and when he wasn’t working, he enjoyed boating, cooking, traveling, and taking casino trips.

Eric will be remembered as someone always willing to help anyone in need. Above all, he enjoyed time well spent with his family.

Eric is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jaquelyn Lindquist; daughter, Amanda (Glen) Gilbird; two grandchildren, Michael Carlson and Kaitlyn Carlson; and his great-grandson, Rylen Carlson;
