Emmalee Kathleen, a precious soul who blessed her family with her arrival on December 4th, 2013, peacefully entered heaven on April 26th, 2025, succumbing to injuries sustained as an infant. Though her time on earth was brief, Emmalee, with her calming spirit, profoundly touched the lives of all who knew her. For the family, this day, while filled with deep sadness, is also viewed as Emmalee's "Freedom Day," a moment when she was finally released from the earthly constraints of her physical body and embraced by everlasting peace.
Emmalee was a sweet girl who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved the happy sounds of children playing near her wheelchair and especially cherished parties held in her honor, which her family felt could never be celebration enough. Bubbles, stuffed animals, and loving snuggles were constants in her world, bringing her happiness. Like many 11-year-old girls, Emmalee favored the color pink, horses, music, and the enchanting world of Disney, particularly "Moana."
Despite the medical challenges she faced, Emmalee's devoted caregivers tirelessly sought ways to enable her to experience life to its fullest. She was deeply loved by countless individuals, and to meet Emmalee was to be forever changed by her presence. She had a remarkable ability to draw out the best in others. In honor of her memory, Emmalee would wish for us to extend kindness and grace to those around us. She was, truly, a perfect little lady.
Throughout her life, Emmalee faced numerous medical procedures with incredible strength, bravery, and composure, serving as an inspiring example to all who witnessed her journey. Her resilience and bravery were often remarked upon. The unwavering and constant medical care provided with excellence by her loving Mommy Brenda, Daddy Nathan, Mimi, Papa, Nurse Shonda, Nurse Hannah, Aunt Tonettee Spaghetti, and so many others stands as a powerful testament to the profound love that surrounded her.
Emmalee is survived by her heartbroken Mother Brenda, Brother Everett, Daddy Nathan, Mimi, Papa, Maw Maw, Paw Paw, Uncle Matt (Doc), Aunt Jenae, maternal great-grandparents, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and the many individuals who entered Emmalee's life and became family.
Her family finds solace in their faith, knowing that Emmalee is now embraced by Jesus' loving arms, joyfully running through heaven's flower-filled fields with the sun on her face and the wind gently blowing through her curly brown hair.
A Mass in celebration of Emmalee's life will be held at St Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, 1502 E. Wallen Road, on Saturday, June 14th, 2025, at 11:00 am with calling from 10:00 am until the Mass.
