Elizabeth Kay Grimes, age 74, of Fort Wayne passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at her home. She was born in Fort Wayne to the late Donald W. and Mildred E. Koepke. Elizabeth worked 18 years as a data analyst for GTE/Verizon. She was a volunteer for the American Heart Association and a member of American Legion Post 82. She enjoyed painting and most of all caring for her family and friends. Elizabeth is survived by her children, Stephen Loy and Theresa (Joe) Membrila both of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Christina Wade, Chelsie Loy, Jonathon Minton, and Adam Minton; five great-grandchildren; siblings, Nancy (Dick) Abens, Becky (Fred) Merz, and Linda Miller; and special friend, Vivian (Michael) Geise. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Gary Grimes, and daughter, Tamara Loy. A celebration of life is 5:00 pm Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at Shoaff Park Conklin Pavilion with a gathering two hours prior beginning at 3:00 pm. Memorials may be made to American Heart Association.
