Elizabeth Jane "Betty Jane" Wickert, age 74, passed away Friday, February 4, 2022 in Fort Wayne. She was born in Wilkes-Barre, PA to the late John and Myrtle Nichols. Betty worked 11 years at John Hancock Insurance Fort Wayne, and also worked for Donovan Engineering and HearCare Audiology. She was a member of St. Michael Lutheran Church, an avid reader, and a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family at the pool, vacationing in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, and attending all of her grandchildren's activities. Betty is survived by her husband, Larry Wickert of Grabill, IN; children, Wendi (Keith) Powers, Becki Wickert both of Fort Wayne; and Nate (Beth) Wickert of Woodburn, IN; grandchildren, Corey, Tristan, and Claire; and her granddog, Skylar. Service is 1:00 pm, Friday, February 11, 2022 at St. Michael Lutheran Church, 2131 Getz Rd. with calling two hours prior beginning at 11:00 am. The service will be streamed online at www.stmfw.org.
