Elden Eugene Brumfield, 67, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2024. Born in Kermit, West Virginia, Elden was a son of the late Lafayette and Lillian Brumfield. During his working years, Elden worked in the floor covering industry and automotive maintenance prior to his retirement. Elden was a racer and made so many life long relationships while racing. Elden enjoyed hunting, and was a devoted husband, loving father, and caring grandfather and great-grandfather to his family. He was a member of First Freedom Baptist Church in Corunna, Indiana. Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Leila Brumfield; sons, Densil Brumfield, Shane (Christine Rice) Brumfield; grandchildren, Faith, Hope, Michael; step-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Noah; 8 great-grandchildren; siblings, Betty (Jack) Shepherd, Larry (Billie) Brumfield and Chester (Theada) Brumfield. Elden was preceded in death by his siblings, Carol Meade, Bud Brumfield, Leola Stout and Rose Bickford. Service is 11 am, Thursday, April 18, 2024 at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton Street, with calling one hour prior. Calling also at the funeral home and Wednesday, April 17, 2024 from 2 pm to 4 pm and 6 pm to 8 pm. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
