Edward Allen Grim, age 90, passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2024 in Fort Wayne, IN. He was born in Fort Wayne to the late Lloyd and Ruth Grim. Edward was a graduate of Concordia Lutheran High School and later the Concordia Teacher's College of Chicago, IL. He began teaching at Nassau Christian Lutheran School of Long Island, NY, before returning to Fort Wayne and continued teaching at Zion Lutheran School where he also served as the athletic director and dedicated coach. Most recently he worked for Raytheon as the instructor of manufacturing. Edward was a faithful member of Zion Lutheran Church and also an early leader of the Lutheran School Athletic Association (LSAA). He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Janice Grim; children, David (Caryn) Grim, Stephen (Laurie) Grim, Angela (Andrew) Owen, Rebecca Grim, and Deborah (Dan) Jessup; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Service is 10:00 am, Saturday, September 14, 2024 at Zion Lutheran Church, 2313 S. Hanna St., with calling from 8:45 am - 9:45 am. Burial at Covington Memorial Gardens.
