Edward A. "Ed" Evans III, passed away on Friday, November 25, 2022. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Ed was the son of the late Samuel and Paula Evans. Ed graduated from North Side High School and was a Master Mechanic, with a passion for building race car motors. Ed was adventurous and a thrill-seeker. He was also an entrepreneur, owning multiple businesses within the community. Ed always stayed busy and loved mentoring others around him. There was nothing he couldn't fix, and his philosophy had always been, "if he can't fix it, it can't be fixed". Ed leaves behind his legacy of hard work, integrity, and the love that he had for his family and friends. Surviving is his wife of 55 years, Linda Evans; children, Edward "Ed" (Liz) IV, Pam (Doug) Kirkpatrick, Tonya (Chris) McGary; grandchildren, Brandon, Blake, Tyler, Briana, Cameron, Skyelyn; one great-grandchild on the way; and sister, Marlene Zartman. A Celebration of Ed's Life will be held for his friends and family, Friday, December 2, 2022 from 3 pm to 7 pm at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton Street.
