Obituary

Edna (Jodie) Mae Jefferies, age 76, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on Friday, October 13, 2023, at home with her family at her side. Jodie was born on May 30, 1947, in Matewan, West Virginia, the daughter of the late James and Delphine (Duty) Dillon. Jodie lived in West Virginia, Michigan, California, Würzburg Germany, Ohio, and then in Indiana for the last 20 years.
Jodie retired in 1998 from General Motors, where she worked for 27 years.
She was a Christ-follower and attended Headwaters Church in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Jodie enjoyed being a member of the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed traveling, scrapbooking, photography, painting, fishing, boating, and shopping. Her passion for reading has already been passed down several generations. She especially loved spending time with her family and spent several winters at the ocean in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
She is survived by daughters, Bonnie (Scott) Doolittle of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Brandy Ferrell of Taylor Michigan; 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son Bobby Joe Ferrell Jr of Garden City, Michigan; her parents; 2 brothers; and 2 sisters.
There will be a family and friend gathering on Sunday, November 5, 2023, at Northline Church in Taylor, Michigan from 1:00-3:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Life service following at 3:00 p.m. Pastor Ryan Bettinger will be officiating.
