Edith Ann Janssens, aged 81, passed away on June 3, 2025, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Born on February 12, 1944. Edith was known for her warm presence and love for family gatherings, which brought joy and unity to her loved ones.
Throughout her career, Edith served with dedication as a cafeteria worker, a role through which she touched many lives with her kindness and nurturing spirit. Her hobbies included crafting, cooking, and baking. Activities which showcased her creativity and love for sharing with others.
Edith was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jacques E. H. Janssens Sr., and her children, Timothy R., Mathew W., and Michael P. Janssens, as well as her sisters, Thelma P. Allen and Karen S. Chance. She is survived by her children, Jacques E. H. Janssens Jr. (Angela), and Andrew L. Janssens; her grandchildren, Jacques III (Michelle), Alyssa (Jason), Laura (Steven), Staphany (Adam), Jacob (Kaylie), Blake (Autumn), Aimee (Addison), and Joel (Sabrina); her great grandchildren Jacques IV, Samarah, Ethan, Mackenzie, Emily, Genevieve, Phillip, Henri, Elynnor, Braylon, Brantley, Arielle, Lydia, Hudson, Aiden, and Gianna; and her siblings, Alan W. Crider, Loretta M. Hustus, Patricia J. Schroeder, and Ritchie N. Crider.
A service to honor and remember Edith will be held on June 21, 2025, at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, located at 4940 Bluffton Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46809, beginning at 2 pm.
