Edgar Paul "Ed" Scare, 75, passed away Friday, January 7, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Ed was a son of the late Russell and Thelma Scare. Ed served our country as a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran. He was a truck driver for 41 years with Super Value/Food Marketing until his retirement in 2009. Ed enjoyed fishing, taking care of his lawn, riding his lawnmower, and joking around with his family. You could often find Ed hanging on his gate watching the day go by. Surviving are his wife of 30 years, Julia Bayman-Scare; son, Jeffrey (Robin) Scare; step-sons, Troy (Stacie) Bayman, Clint (Adam Porter) Bayman; 5 grandsons, 1 granddaughter; 1 great-granddaughter; siblings, Carole (Ron) Sorg, Donald (Dee Dee) Scare; along with many daycare kiddoes that called him grandpa. Service is noon, Friday, January 21,2022 at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton Street, with calling from 10 am until the service. A private burial will take place in Circle Hill Cemetery, Angola, Indiana. Memorials may be made to Harvest Fellowship or Woodburn Christian Children's Home.
