Obituary

Duane Edison McQueen, age 90, of Fort Wayne passed away Thursday, May 5th, 2022. He was born in Fort Wayne, to the late Ralph and Luella McQueen. Duane worked his career with the Zollner Corporation working in quality control. He served his country as a member of the U.S. Marine Corp. during the Korean War. Duane was a member of the VFW Post 10006, American Legion Post 241, Korean War Veteran's Association, and the Fort Wayne Scottish Rite. He enjoyed coaching both youth bowling and Little League baseball, and was an avid golfer. Duane is survived by his daughter, Barbara Eagleson; sons, Jeffrey and Douglas McQueen; three granddaughters, Alexandra (Anthony) Pastre, Theresa (Brad) Godwin, and Angela (Rob) Schmidt; 7 great-grandchildren; and sister Janice Gatke. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Elnora "Jean" McQueen; two brothers; and a sister. Service is 4:00 pm, Saturday May 14, 2022 at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton St., with calling one hour prior. Memorials may be made to The Shepherd's House.
