DOUGLAS R. SPEAKMAN, of Fort Wayne, entered into his heavenly home on Monday, May 10, 2021. He was a native of Van Wert, Ohio.

Doug worked for Kroger for 30 years as an employee trainer, served for 10 years in welcoming and hospitality at Trinity English Lutheran Church, and was also employed at numerous churches in the Fort Wayne area as an organist and choir director.

He is survived by his soul mate and best friend, Tim; His beloved dogs, Penny and Peanut; his nieces and nephews, Tom, Doug, Laura, Stella, Kim, Kris, Kaury, and Kerry; his extended family, Max and Sandy, and Jill and Andy; as well as numerous other close friends including his cherished Bible study group at Calvary United Methodist Church, Fort Wayne where he was a member.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2021 beginning at 9:30 AM at Trinity English Lutheran Church, 450 W. Washington Blvd. Fort Wayne, with a service celebrating Doug's life to follow at 11:00 AM.
