Douglas R. Ritchhart, 67, of Fort Wayne passed away on Monday October 3rd, 2022 at Parkview Hospital-Randallia in Fort Wayne. He was born on February 10th, 1955, in Fort Wayne. Doug worked at IPFW as an audio video technician for 24 years. He proudly served in the US National Guard for 23 years. Doug enjoyed geo cashing, fishing, and spending time with his family
Doug is survived by his wife Catherine; children, Anthony, Kara (Jonghwan Yu), and John; grandchildren, Savannah, and Preston; siblings, Jane (Joyce Stevens) Ritchhart, Alice (Michael Benson) Ritchhart, William (Julia) Ritchhart, and Sharon Coleman; 3 nephews, and 2 nieces; and many dear family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lorna Ritchhart; brother, Richard Ritchhart Jr.; grandparents, Ellsworth (Barney), and Pauline Ritchhart and Aunt Emma Franks.
Visitation for Doug will be on Sunday October 9th from 2-5 pm at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N Clinton St. Fort Wayne, IN 46825. Burial will take place at Marion National Cemetery. Preferred memorials in Doug's honor may be directed to the Honor Flight of Northeast Indiana.
