Douglas E. Jones, age 71, passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at his home in Fort Wayne. He was born in Bryant, IN to the late Harold Jones and Maxine Garringer. Doug served his country as a member of the U.S. Marine Corp. during the Vietnam War. He spent his career working in transportation and he loved Nascar, I.U. Basketball and he participated in martial arts. Doug is survived by his wife, Marjorie Jones; children, Teresa Knittle, Shelly (Russ) German, Jamberea Gaff, Linda Halsey, J.D. (Daphne) Jones, and Greg (Amy) Jones; 13 grandchildren; and seven siblings. A memorial gathering is 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton St. with military honors to follow at 7:00 pm.
