Dorothy Meyer, 98, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 31, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Dorothy was a daughter of the late Walter and Helen (Singer) Kline. Dorothy graduated from South Side High School. She was an active member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church. She was an avid reader and enjoyed puzzles of all types. Surviving are her children, Patricia (Rev. Gordon) Samra, Diana Beery, Michael (Barbara) Meyer; grandchildren, Todd Samra, Aaron Samra, Valerie Beery, Laura (David) Mizicko; 6 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great-granddaughters. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Meyer; children, Linda Sue Meyer, Scott Meyer; son-in-law, Thomas Beery; and siblings Walter Kline Jr., Evelyn Trietsch, and Naomi McNett. Service is 11 am, Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton Street, with calling one hour prior. Calling also on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 from 4 pm to 7 pm at the funeral home. Entombment in Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Memorials may be made to Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
