Dorothy "Dot" Harkenrider, 92, passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2022 in Fort Wayne. She was born in Thomasville, NC on February 28, 1930 to the late James Oliver and Betty Cook. Always full of life, Dot was loved by her family and friends. She was a believer in Christ. She was an avid reader, card player, beach lover; and loved spending time with family and friends. She is survived by her children, Deborah (Jim) Guillow, Vic (Elaine) Wheeler, Glenn (Jody) Harkenrider; four grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren with one on the way; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Graham Wheeler; second husband, Robert "Bob" Harkenrider; and her four siblings. Open visitation will be at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton Street, on Friday, October 28, 2022 from 10 am to noon. A private family service is being held prior.
