David Tracey, age 61, passed away Tuesday, September, 17, 2024, in Fort Wayne. He was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana. David was a great man that had a rough childhood. He always wanted kids and a family. He was a father that loved his children with all of his heart. He always told them "you guys are my whole world". Even when they didn't see eye to eye his love never waivered. He loved his grandchildren and the great grandkids just melted him like butter. He made sure that his family and friends always felt all of the love he had to give. He was the man that would help anyone and not ask for anything in return. He probably fed you or gave you a place to stay; sang to you or just cried with you when you needed it. He may have even literally given you his last dollar. There's a million ways he touched the lives of those around him. We ask you think about good things he did to bring you up in this world. Smile, hold that memory of him and keep it close. I bet it's a good one. Singing was a passion of his, if you ever remember him singing to you please share the name of the song with us (David's family)! He did want us to make sure we told everyone how much he loved each and every one of you. Donavon is survived by his children, Joseph (Julie) Perkins, Spencer (Bre) Perkins, Telishia (Brad) Sroufe, Felishia (Darren) Whitehead, Jamie Shannon; numerous grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. He was preceded by the love of his life Twilla Tracey; his parents; five brothers; two sisters; and granddaughter, Kristiana. To sign the online guestbook, go to www.fairhavenfortwayne.com
