Donald Ray Newman, 69, passed away Monday, February 1, 2021 at his home in Fort Wayne. He was born in Scottsboro, AL to the late Jim and Martha Newman. Donald worked 30 years for New World Church in public relations. He is survived by his daughter, Karla (Alex) McCullough of Athens, AL; 2 grandchildren, Lexi Jones and Cam Beckwith; three sisters Lois Mae Hancock, Ann (Harvey) Parton, Patricia (Johnny) Dolberry; and close friend, Marta Werst. He was preceded in death by his husband, James Demas; daughter, Patti Newman Webster; 6 brothers; and 4 sisters.
