Donald Allen Lindsey, 75, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, March 26, 2025. Born in Peoria, Illinois Don was the son of the late Harold and Faye (Bayles) Lindsey. Don graduated from Pekin Community High School and earned his Bachelor's Degree in Business Marketing from Western Illinois University. He served our country in the Air Force from 1969 to 1973. Don married the love of his life Barbara "Barb" Shaw on August 24, 1974, and recently celebrated their 50
th
wedding anniversary. Don worked for Central Soya for over 30 years and had the opportunity to travel the world through his job. He loved to visit new places and learn about different cultures. Don enjoyed fishing, reading, watching sports, traveling, and spending time with his family.
After retirement, Don took up the hobby of cooking. He loved to cook for his family and friends and was an incredible host. Don enjoyed his wintertime relaxation in Naples, Florida with his wife, during his retirement years. His greatest treasures in life were his children and being papa to his four grandchildren. He was an unconditionally loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Surviving are his wife, Barb Lindsey; children, Jenny (Luis) Analuisa, Josh (Greg Studebaker) Lindsey, Jessica Neel; grandchildren, Alexa Lindsey, Eliana Neel, Elan Analuisa and Aubrey Analuisa; and sister, Deb (Orv) Fetters. Don was preceded in death by his brothers, Gary and Denny Lindsey. There will be a visitation from 4 pm to 7 pm on Monday, March 31, 2025 at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton Street, with a short Celebration of Don's Life to follow at 7 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice or Cancer Services of NE Indiana.
