Donald "Kidd" Kidd, age 52, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2022 in Fort Wayne. He was born in Fort Wayne to Thomas and Jessie Kidd, who survive. Kidd served his community as an officer with the Fort Wayne Police Department for 17 years and most recently as a detective. He was also a proud member of the PBA and FOP Wayne Lodge 14. Kidd proudly served his country as a member of the Indiana Air National Guard as a weapons loader for 20 years and was deployed overseas four times. He was a faithful member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church for 47 years where he served as an elder and chairman of the congregation. Kidd loved sports and coaching his sons. He was the Purdue Boilermakers biggest fan. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Michelle Kidd; sons, Jacob Kidd and Caleb Kidd both of Fort Wayne; brother, Brian (Jenny) Kidd; sister, Marie Kidd both of Fort Wayne; nieces, Jaeden and Ja'nyiah Kidd; and several other nieces and nephews. Service is 11:00 am, Friday, September 30, 2022 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 7710 E. State Blvd. with calling one hour prior. Calling also 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at the church. A procession will follow the service on Friday to Concordia Cemetery Gardens.
