Obituary
Donald F. Hayward, 89, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2025, in Fort Wayne. He was born in Angola, IN to the late Frederick and Madalin Hayward. Donald was an avid sports lover who enjoyed supporting his favorite Detroit teams. He loved watching IU basketball and always looked forward to filling out his March Madness bracket every year. He loved to cook and make food for those around him. He went out of his way to make sure his grandkids and great grandkids were loved and even spoiled. Donald is survived by his two daughters, Denise Hayward, Jan Hayward; grandkids, Justin (Stacey) Petersen, Zach (Alicia) Petersen, Dany (Jesse) Burger, AJ Talarico, Demee Hayward; six great grandkids. He was preceded in death by son, John Hayward. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at Fort Wayne Turners at 1 pm.
