Rev. Donald G. Fischer, age 93, passed away Monday, September 16, 2024 in Fort Wayne. He was born in Washington Courthouse, OH to the late Waldemar and Ruth Fischer. Donald proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army. He also served as pastor for the Trinity Lutheran Church of Ligonier, IN and was the owner of Donald G. Fischer, CPA of Huntington, IN. Donald is survived by his two daughters, Peggy (Mark) Sell and Rebecca Mitchell; 9 grandchildren, Justin (Karen) Harris, Andrea (Joshua) Wehr, Samuel (Nicole) Harris, Eva (Joey) Harris, Shea (Lichelle) Hutchinson, Mark Hutchinson Jr., Leah Hutchinson, Erika (Adam) Sparks, and Ramsey Fischer; 13 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Belinda Fischer; and sister, Barbara Biedermann; and sister-in-law, Margo Fischer. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Joella Fischer; son, Steven Fischer; and brother, Paul Fischer. Service is 3:00 pm, Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Lutheran Life Villages Chapel, 6701 S. Anthony Blvd. with calling one hour prior.
