Donald "Don" Emenhiser, 93, of Maples, passed away on Saturday Oct 16th. Don was born to the late Harry and Agnes Emenhiser. Don served his country honorably in the US Army. He worked for 37 years as rural letter carrier, then as the Bus Garage manager and mechanic for Lutheran Schools for 10 years, before driving charter buses for another 10 years. Don was a lifetime farmer in Allen County as well. Don is survived by his son, John(Jean) Emenhiser; daughter, Donell( Mark) Stier; and 8 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanore (Schaefer) in 1997, and brother A. Keith Emenhiser. Funeral service for Don will take place on Monday Oct 25th at 11:00 am with calling 1 hour prior at Trinity English Lutheran Church (450 W Washington Blvd.), calling will also take place on Sunday at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services (6557 N Clinton St.) from 1-4 pm. Burial will take place in IOOF Cemetery, New Haven. Preferred memorials in Don's honor may be directed to Cal Farley's Ranch (Amarillo TX.) American Legion Post 241 or Trinity English Lutheran Church.
