Donely Howard "Don" Zulager, 88, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, May 28, 2024. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Don was a son of the late Charles and Dorothy (Hess) Zulager. Don served our country proudly while in the U.S. Army 3rd Armored Division "Spearhead". During his working years, Don was a grassroots manufacturing employee that started out working on the floor to becoming the VP of Manufacturing for Majestic in Huntington, Indiana.
Don was a Godly man and a family man. He cherished each and every moment spent with his family. So many memories were made over the years at their lake home on Coldwater Lake. He enjoyed fishing, was an avid reader and if you were lucky, you could watch him fall asleep reading and then be able to tease him about it, which he would deny. Don enjoyed watching the Cincinnati Reds and the TinCaps throughout the years. He was a member of Headwaters Church and became a part of their Legacy ABF group where he became friends with so many others. He was a devoted husband, a loving dad, and caring grandfather to his family.
Surviving are his children, Randy (Libby) Zulager, Rebecca Zulager; granddaughters, Kelsie (Vance) Spencer, Karlie Zulager, Galia (Jordan) Delanoy, Katya Zulager; great grandchildren, Allen, Reese, Eli, Finnley with one on the way; along with pet dogs, Sadie, Murphy, and Loki. Don was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Zulager; siblings, Charles Zulager and Dorothy Rae Heimbrock.
Service is 3 pm, Saturday, June 1, 2024 at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton Street with calling from 1 pm until the services. Memorials may be made to Headwaters Church.
