Diane Winn, 78, passed away August 12, 2018 in Fort Wayne. She was born in Flint, MI to the late Lawrence and Elnora Lynn. Diane enjoyed crocheting, yellow roses, Mexican food, and spending time with her beloved husband, Paul. Diane battled years of personal illness and struggle with the same toughness that she needed in being the wife of a career military officer and raising children on her own while her husband, Paul, fulfilled his military obligations. It's fitting that Diane passes during the period of peak activity of the Perseid meteor shower that gets its name because the meteors appear in the sky through the Constellation of Perseus, the ancient Greek warrior hero. She is survived by her husband, Paul Winn of Fort Wayne; children, David (Susan Friedrich) Winn of Leo, IN, Douglas Winn of New Haven, IN, and Karen (Matt) Brumbaugh of Fort Wayne; 8 grandchildren; brother, Donald (Millie) Lynn of Muskegon, MI. Diane was preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Elnora Winn; and brother, Robert Lynn. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 am, Monday, August 20, 2018 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church,1502 E. Wallen Rd with calling one hour prior. Calling also Sunday, August 19, 2018 at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton St. from 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm.
