Diana Lea Coss, 82, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, June 4, 2026. Born in Rockford, Illinois, Diana was the only child of the late Dennis and Erma (Mitchell) Hanson.
Diana married the love of her life, Larry Coss, on April 17, 1971, in Rockford, Illinois. Together they shared 55 years of marriage, building a life centered on love, faith, and family. Through every season of life, they cared for one another and created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and cherished memories.
Diana was a devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother. Her family was the center of her world, and she found great joy in supporting her children and grandchildren in all of life's milestones, school activities, and extracurricular events. Whether cheering from the sidelines or celebrating accomplishments big and small, Diana was always there with encouragement and love.
In her younger years, Diana enjoyed bowling and carried her active spirit throughout her life. She loved gardening, taking walks, and spending quiet afternoons watching her favorite daytime soap operas. A loyal Chicago Cubs fan, she faithfully followed her team through the years. Diana also had a special place in her heart for animals, especially cats, birds, and bunnies, and she delighted in caring for and watching them.
More than anything, Diana treasured the time she spent with her family. Her gentle spirit, caring heart, and unwavering love will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
Surviving are her husband, Larry Coss; sons, Roger (Kim Bradford) Coss and Ronald (Heidi) Coss; grandchildren, Tony, Gracie, Owen, Wednesday, Raven, and Brianna; along with many extended family members and friends.
