Diana L. Byers, 70, of Fort Wayne passed away on Monday August 3rd, 2026, at her home. She was born in Fort Wayne to the late Elijah “Sandy” and Doris Richmond. Diana was a graduate of Northside High School.

Diana was a waitress at Bandidos at Georgetown for over 25 years. She later worked at Meijer on 37 in the deli department.

Diana was a dedicated member of the Planet Fitness on Maplecrest Road where she could be found nearly every day.

Diana is survived by her sisters, Sandy Gray, and Darlene Schneider; nieces and nephews, Christina (Steve) LaBundy, Kelly Gray, Dawn (Brent) Cooper, Brian (Misty) Schneider, Jill Schneider, Josh Richmond, and Timothy Richmond; birth daughter, Laura Meinert, with whom she was reunited in March 2000; sister-in-law, Kim Richmond; and great nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her brothers, James Richmond, and Timothy Richmond; niece, Shannon Richmond; and nephew, Joey Richmond.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 6pm on Monday August 31, 2026 at North Highlands Church of Christ, 1414 Archer Ave, Fort Wayne, 46808.
