Derek Andrew Stone, 29, passed away Monday, June 28, 2021 at his home in Fort Wayne. He was born in Fort Wayne and a graduate of New Haven High School. Derek worked several jobs all focused on helping others. He was a talented musician and played in several bands including the worship band at Fellowship Missionary Church. Derek is survived by his mother, Alicia Stone of Fort Wayne; father, Timothy Stone of Fort Wayne; siblings, Randall (Devin) Stone of Grabill, IN; and Kate (Beau) Sorg of Fort Wayne; four nieces, Adalyn, Charlotte, Vivianne, and Emerson; and his paternal grandfather, George Stone of Fort Wayne. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, George and Sally Grimm; and paternal grandmother Anna Stone. Service is 2:00 pm, Friday, July 2, 2021 at Fellowship Missionary Church, 2536 E. Tillman Rd, with calling two hours prior beginning at 12:00 pm. Memorials may be made to Choices Treatment Center. Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services are handling the arrangements.
