Dennis Michael Quirk, 78, died on January 6, 2024. He was born on August 23, 1945 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Rose (Cox) and Thomas Quirk. He was predeceased by his brother Donald Quirk and sister Mary Shay. He was married to Lisa (Kern) Quirk and has two children, daughter Sarah Quirk of Connecticut and son Devin Quirk of New York. He also leaves behind two nephews, Matthew Quirk of New York and Michael Quirk of Pennsylvania. Dennis was raised in Brooklyn where he attended St. Michael's grade school and Xaverian High School. He graduated from Pace University in 1968 with a B.S. in Business Management. After college, Dennis worked at Chase Manhattan Bank. Later on, he became a Vice President at U.S. Trust Company in New York. In 1983, Dennis founded his own investment business. He thoroughly enjoyed his work raising venture capital for new and expanding companies. Growing up, he enjoyed summers at his family summer home on Lake Lackawanna in New Jersey. Later as an adult, he enjoyed many summers at the Hamptons. In 1990 he married, then had two children. He and his family lived in Wilton, Connecticut for 20 years. In the last year of his life, he resided in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Dennis was proud of his Irish heritage, his hometown of Brooklyn, and his two children. He loved to travel, golf, play tennis, go to the beach, go boating, and follow politics. He loved to listen to music, from the old standards such as Frank Sinatra to The Rolling Stones. He was a great storyteller and loved to share a good joke. As per Dennis's request, no funeral or memorial service will be held.
