Dennis A. Kinsey, 73, of Fort Wayne, passed away on December 24, 2023 at his home and surrounded by his family. He was just shy of his 74th birthday which would have been on December 25th. Dennis was born in Fort Wayne to the late Robert and Barbara Kinsey. He was a proud North Side Redskin graduating in 1968. Dennis enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. He retired from Dana Corp in 2003 after 30 years of service. Dennis enjoyed his retirement doing the things he loved; traveling, being at the lake and fishing. He especially enjoyed his time with his grandkids. For 19 years Dennis was a Steuben County Reserve Sheriff's Deputy. He was a member of American Legion Post 31 in Angola.
Dennis is survived by his wife of 49 years, Jean; children, Chris (Jessica), Aimee (Jason) Meridew, Ross (Kourtney); grandkids, Kendyl, Clark, Allyson, Cale, Kaelyn, Griffin, and Grant; sister, Pam (Doug) Bastian; brother, Kevin (Julie); brother, Greg (Yolanda).
He was preceded in death by his brother Bob Kinsey Jr.
Per Dennis' wishes a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to FairHaven Funeral Home.
