Dennis Dewayne Bock, age 61, of Auburn, Indiana, passed away on October 16, 2026.
Dennis was a one-of-a-kind man who lived life in his own way. Funny, stubborn, full of life, and kindhearted, he had a way of making friends wherever he went. He was the kind of person who could strike up a conversation with just about anyone, and before long, a stranger could feel like an old friend. He had a generous heart and was always willing to give to others, often putting the needs of those around him before his own. He was a simple man who believed in hard work, good company, and enjoying the things that made life special.
Dennis spent many years working at the Auburn Foundry, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dedication. He worked hard throughout his life and built connections with many people along the way. To know Dennis was to know someone who was genuine, unforgettable, and never afraid to be himself.
Outside of work, Dennis enjoyed the things that brought him happiness. He was a NASCAR and football fan, loved fishing, enjoyed cooking, and had a passion for rock music and collecting coins. But more than anything, he loved being around people. Whether he was sharing a story, striking up a conversation, talking about his favorite team, or simply spending time with the people he loved, Dennis found joy in life’s everyday moments.
Above all, Dennis cherished his family. His children and grandchildren held a special place in his heart, and the time he spent with them was among life’s greatest gifts. His humor, his stubborn spirit, his generosity, and the memories he created will live on through the people who loved him. Though his absence leaves an immeasurable hole in the hearts of his family and friends, the love he gave and the memories he leaves behind will never be lost.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, David and Rosal Bock, and his brother, Dirk Bock.
He is survived by his children, Hailey (Logan) Rimmer and Justice Bock, and Justice’s partner, Lindee Mason; his beloved grandchildren, Ethan and Adeline; his brother, Frank Bock; his sisters, Alicia and Sybillie; his nephews, Curtis Bock and Charles Bock; and many other nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Dennis will be remembered for his big personality, his generous heart, his love of family, and his ability to make a friend out of just about anyone. He leaves behind a lifetime of stories, laughter, and memories that will continue to bring comfort to those who knew and loved him.
He was deeply loved, he will be deeply missed, and he will never be forgotten.
